Discord Bot Terms of Service

These terms apply specifically to your use of the PeakBridger Discord bot ("the Bot"), separately from the general Terms of Service for the wider PeakBridger network, which also apply.

1. Scope

These terms cover any interaction with the Bot in a server it's added to, including commands, buttons, tickets, and any application it manages.

2. What the bot does

The Bot supports the PeakBridger community by handling things like account/rank verification, staff-application tickets, in-game to Discord rank syncing, and server status announcements. Exact features may change over time without notice.

3. Acceptable use

• Don't spam the Bot's commands or intentionally try to overload it.
• Don't attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or find and abuse bugs in the Bot rather than reporting them.
• Don't use the Bot to harass others, evade moderation, or submit false information through its ticket/application system.

Violating these terms can result in the Bot restricting or blocking your access to its features, independent of any in-game or server-wide moderation action.

4. Data & commands

Using a command sends the associated data (like your Discord ID and the command's content) to the Bot for processing. See our Discord Bot Privacy Policy for exactly what's collected and why.

5. Availability

We don't guarantee the Bot will be online, bug-free, or available at any particular time. It may be updated, restarted, or discontinued entirely without notice.

6. Discord's own terms

The Bot operates on top of Discord. Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines also apply to your use of it, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord Inc.

7. Termination of access

We may remove your access to the Bot's features, or remove the Bot from a server entirely, at any time and for any reason, including abuse of the Bot or a breach of these terms.

8. Liability disclaimer

The Bot is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PeakBridger and its owners, staff, and developers will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Bot — including lost data, missed applications, incorrect rank syncs, moderation actions taken via the Bot, or any downtime — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. This disclaimer is in addition to, and not in place of, the broader limitation of liability in our main Terms of Service, which also applies here.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time; the "Last updated" date above will reflect that. Continuing to use the Bot after a change means you accept the update.
